An old and rare single malt scotch whisky, distilled at Bunnahabhain in 1963 and bottled 40 years later, for the Feis Ile – also known as the Islay Festival of Music and Malt. On the nose, aromas of old-style sherry, grass, a bit of oak, heather, sweet fruits, plus some floral and zesty tones. The palate is quite malty, with hints of raisins, sea salt and a touch of smoke.

Distillery Information
Often known as the “gateway malt” for those looking to explore the smoky malts of Islay, Bunnahabhain is more lightly peated than most other whiskies produced on the island. Situated on the north-eastern coast, the distillery name means “mouth of the river” in Gaelic. Historically noted for a waxy, oily mouthfeel, low peat levels and a hint of sea spray, Bunnahabhain have since experimented with more heavily peated drams, in-keeping with the style of their island neighbours. The youngest age statement in the core range is 12 years old while limited edition cask finishes have won the distillery awards globally.
