Whiskey: King’s Inch Single Malt 8 Year Old Single Malt Whisky | 700ML
King’s Inch 8 Year Old is a great example of a bourbon and sherry cask vatting made specifically to be bottled at a younger age statement. West coast barley, narrow cut points in the distillation and fresh (some would say wet) casks all contribute to the deep and ever changing nature of the spirit.

King’s Inch is a marriage of Single Malt expressions matured in Oloroso Sherry, Tennessee Bourbon & Kentucky Bourbon casks. The new make spirit – developed by Jim Swan and distilled by renowned distiller Jack Mayo – was designed to extract maximum flavour from the casks it was left to mature in. King’s Inch Single Malt 8 Year Old Single Malt Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Bursting with the freshness of toasted cereals and twisting with the sweet and spice of honey comb and oak.
Palate: Initially subtle and smooth with quiet hints of cereal and marzipan that flow into a whip of cracked black pepper and spice eventually mellowing into full fruit cake flavour that dances at the back of the palate alongside the sizzle spice of oak.
Finish: Long and slow this finish raises from the middle of the chest and leaves a lasting flavour of dried fruit in the chest paired with a soft orange peel and spice on the tongue.
